TARONGA WILDLIFE RETREAT’S INAUGURAL CAMPAIGN BRANDING NEEDED TO ACHIEVE TWO THINGS: AN ELEVATED LOOK AND FEEL FROM WHERE TARONGA COMMUNICATIONS SAT PREVIOUSLY AND A CONNECTION TO THE OVERARCHING BRAND OF TARONGA ZOO.

THE RESULT IS AN ELEGANT, OWNABLE AND MODULAR IDENTITY THAT FEELS AT-HOME IN THE TARONGA FAMILY BUT STANDS PROUD AS IT’S OWN ENTITY.

LIFESTYLE

The colours, shapes and linework were inspired by the original Taronga Zoo Wildlife Retreat’s branding, which took heavy inspiration from sandstone, a material used throughout both the hotel and zoo itself.

The organic linework and shapes used to house imagery were inspired by sandstone cross-sections, while the colour palette took the original palette of gold, tinted back to an elegant 20%, and paired with black and white.
