MY APPROACH WITH THE REBRAND WAS TO EMBRACE THEIR ALTRUISM, HIGHLIGHTING THE SPACE AROUND THEIR BRAND AS A WAY TO REPRESENT THEIR CLIENTS.

Health Focus Manufacturers – HFM – are one of Australia’s leading personal care manufacturers, creating products for some of the best known and widely spread skincare, pet-care and cosmetic labels. It’s almost guaranteed you have some of their product on your face right this second without the slightest idea.
The altruistic approach creates space in the design system for product, ingredients, clients and users to be the focus. The goal was not to diminish or minimise HFM’s branding in any way, but to create harmony between the individual pillars.
Balanced with the sense of air and space, structure and precision, introduced through typography and layout, act as a reminder of the scientific foundations of the company, and the consideration they put into every last detail.
While the design system creates a foundational understanding of the brand, the art direction holds a telescope up to the elements we’re creating space for, that being the ingredients, the products separate from the manufacturers, and the users.
